Applications are gathered and reviewed prior to Annual Congress. The Youth Council votes on the bids during the fall meeting.

The USA Hockey National Championships should take propriety over any other activity for the duration of the tournament.
WHERE DO I FIND WHAT IS REQUIRED FROM THE HOST?
The requirements are listed in the Host Information Handbook. We recommend that you read the handbook prior to submitting your application (even if you have hosted a USA Hockey National Championship before).

SELECTION PROCESS
Each year USA Hockey designates different levels of National Championships for the youth, girls/women and high school classifications. These events are the property of USA Hockey and are awarded to the host on a one-year basis by the USA Hockey Youth Council. The Youth Council Chairman appoints a National Championship Director. This person will coordinate the event with the selected hosts.
