Course Description:
This one-hour, one-credit Continuing Education course is designed to help coaches, trainers, and hockey professionals enhance their ability to hold players accountable to good habits both on and off the ice. Participants will explore practical strategies to instill discipline, foster consistency, and create a culture where positive habits become second nature to players. Through a combination of communication techniques, skill-specific drills, and behavior management strategies, this course provides actionable tools for creating accountability in practice and game environments.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Understand the importance of accountability in developing strong hockey players and cohesive teams.
  2. Learn methods for identifying and addressing habits that support or hinder player development.
  3. Explore techniques for designing practices and drills that reinforce consistent habits under pressure.
  4. Discover approaches to effectively communicate expectations and hold players responsible for meeting them.

Format:
This live Zoom course includes a blend of presentations, video examples, role-playing scenarios, and interactive discussions to equip participants with tools they can immediately apply in their coaching.

This course is eligible for 1 Continuing Education Credit (CE)
