USA HOCKEY COACHING EDUCATION PROGRAM CLINIC INFORMATION

Hello Coach,

USAH COACHING EDUCATION PROGRAM ATTENDANCE POLICIES:

•  
• All Minnesota CEP clinics will be held in Central Standard Time (CST). Coaches are responsible for ensuring they log in at the correct clinic start time. If you arrive late because you were unaware of the time zone, you must re-register for a different clinic.
•  
• If you register for a clinic in Minnesota, please be aware that transfers are only allowed between Minnesota clinics during November. USA Hockey prohibits any transfers to clinics outside of Minnesota in December. Coaches must either attend the clinic they registered for or re-register for a fee of $60, which is non-refundable.
•  
• If you attend day one of the clinic and cannot attend day two, you must re-register for both days of a new clinic. USAH does not allow one-day transfers.
•  
• The clinic will be conducted virtually on Zoom, not in person. Once the clinic is full, we cannot add more coaches, and there is no waitlist.
•  
• Each class consists of two four-hour sessions on two consecutive days, using the same Zoom link. Attendance is required for the duration of each clinic session.
•  
• To participate, you must have a computer or laptop equipped with a functioning webcam, microphone, and speakers or headphones. If possible, please avoid using cell phones and iPads/tablets to prevent technical or connection issues.
•  
• Please join the class using the provided Zoom link at least 10 minutes before the start time. We highly recommend having a high-speed and stable internet connection (Although our goal is to start on time, we will email you a notification in case of any delays).
•  
• To ensure an engaging and interactive experience, we require all participants to have their cameras on and active for the entire duration of the clinic.
•  
• Upon logging in at the beginning of each clinic session, you will be placed in a Waiting Room. Please check the “chat” for any communication from the clinic instructor. You will be admitted to the session when the clinic is ready to begin.
•  

Please take note of the following pre-clinic instructions.

• While waiting for the clinic to start, please choose the "Test Speaker and Mic" option.
•  
• Under the "Audio" tab, speak to ensure that your microphone is functioning correctly. As you talk, colored bars indicating the "input level" should be visible. If you don't see these bars, your microphone or audio is not working. Next, select the "Video" option. If your camera is working correctly, you should be able to see yourself. If not, choose the camera drop-down option and select your camera.

• * At USAH, your safety is our highest priority; driving during the clinic or any other activity that detracts from your attention during the clinic is strictly prohibited. We will ask you to re-register for a future clinic.

When the clinic begins, please rename yourselves using the specified format:

• Hover over your Zoom photo and select the three dots in the upper right-hand corner.
•  
• From the drop-down menu, select "rename."
•  
• List the age level you are coaching this season or are interested in this clinic ONLY (10U, not U10) and your Full first and last name that you registered with: John Doe…not JD.
•  

Final Result: 10U John Doe (or if multiple levels: 10U/12U John Doe - Please do not list Boys, Girls, Goalie Coach, AAA, etc.).

• This is extremely important so we can assign you to the correct age-appropriate breakout rooms and verify your attendance so you can receive credit for the class.
•  

Important: If you lose your internet connection and need to log back in, please remember to update your age group and registered username when you re-enter the clinic.
