Important Information

Aspiring coaches from across the country will gather in Columbus, Ohio for the 2025 USA Hockey National Coaches Symposium. Coaches will seek to attain their Level 5 Coaching Certification, the highest offered by USA Hockey.

Always one of the most highly anticipated events on the USA Hockey Coaching calendar, the symposium will be held August 14-17, 2025, at the Hyatt Regancy in Columbus, Ohio's beautiful arena district. This clinic is available to all Level 4 registered USA Hockey coaches, including those who attained their Level 4 during the 2024-2025 USA Hockey Season. All Level 5 registered coaches may attend and will receive their required 5 credits of Continuing Education.

This year's event will have a limited number of seats, with registration on a first come, first served basis. USA Hockey recommends registering as soon as possible. The registration cost for the event is $575, which does not include the cost for travel or lodging.

Coaches can expect to see a star studded lineup of speakers at the event. In the past, speakers and guests have included NHL, NCAA, and European coaches along with USA Hockey's Player Development staff. Each presentation will be an hour in length. There will be rotating brekout groups, presenting on a wide range of topics.

Level 5 requirements at the event:

Candidates for Level 5 Certification must attend the entire Level 5 Coaches Symposium. Additional information regarding submitted material requirements (thesis, CE workshop, or other written material) will be distributed at the event. Attendees will be required to check-in throughout the event, and check-out upon exiting. Failure to do so at any point during the event will prohibit receiving your Level 5 Certification.
